3.1       Why be effective?

There is an opinion: the more we do, the more we achieve! To a certain extent, this is true; however, the question remains – why are there many people who work hard all their lives but are hardly able to make a living, whereas others attain inconceivable heights with enviable easiness?

Being effective does not depend on the effort made but rather on the right direction of the effort. We could be very busy, do many things and achieve results, but are we effective? Being effective means to accomplish much more in the given time! Being effective means to complete tasks quicker, with less effort. So we could be busy, achieve results and be effective! Being motivated, with a definite set of personality traits and abilities means to determine the movement and take responsibility for the actions taken. Being effective means to achieve more results, attain goals and accomplish the planned tasks (or more tasks) within a shorter time, by sparing less of our valuable resources.
