• Overall time planning principle is that the jobs listed in square 2 are priorities.

• Saving time for square 2
  • At the outset, the only way to save time for square 2 is to take it away from squares 3 and 4.
  • It is impossible to ignore square 1 activities though their scope will diminish over time because more time will be spent in square 2; develop and carry out preventive measures.
  • Be proactive as to the job in square 2 because squares 1 and 3 will be proactive towards you.
  • Be able to say "no".
