2.10.5       Cases when you are entitled to say "no".
 

  • When answering unreasonable requests
    • A request is unreasonable provided it:
      • Is beyond your job responsibilities.
      • Interferes with your personal life.
      • Demands too much your free time.
      • Demands words or activities that contradict your moral values, opinions or principles.
      • You simply do not want to honor it.

 

  • When a task is not very important (if compared with the current job).
    • Cases when your subordinate or colleague asks you to do it.
    • Cases when your boss asks you to do it.

     You lack knowledge or skills to do the job.

  • You are excited or angry.
  • The task is a responsibility of another person.
  • It is not necessary to perform this task.
